Heard Around Camp

It is amazing what you can hear around camp if you just take the time to slow down and listen. So, that's what I decided to do this year. I'm not talking about snooping around "digging for dirt"...just listening and taking it all in. I hope you enjoy this section. Also, if you have anything to contribute to this section, feel free to send me the things that you heard around camp, too.

"Bro. Eudell...would you say the blessing and then we'll hit it!" -- Bro. Arnold Stidham requesting prayer for breakfast one morning.

"Every man for himself!" -- Bro. Arnold Stidham after prayer (above) was finished.

"Well, I guess we broke your camera." -- Sis. Lil Berry after I took her and Sis. Ruth Druen's picture.

"I over slept and now I'm late." -- Sis. Ruth Druen on her way to fix breakfast.

"That's my problem...I can't think of anything I don't like (to eat)." -- Bro. Noah Vance preparing his meal.

"Everywhere I go, I just run around and make a mess." -- Bro. Noah Vance working in the kitchen.

"Anna's not MY cousin! I'm her cousin!" -- Zeth Houk explaining his family tree to me.

"To coach better? Doesn't that mean to not coach at all?!" -- Eric Hall laying down the burn on me when I said I needed to coach better.

"I wanna sing Contaquinta!" -- Audrey trying to request to sing We Are More Than Conquerors.

"We're catching frogs!" -- Zeth Houk, Scarlett Kennedy, and Broxton Kennedy.

"I'm a whole lot cuter than my brothers when they were 12." -- Daniel Wright putting some digs in on his brothers.

"Keep on running around Clint! I'm right behind you!" -- Brian Benningfield sitting down to take a rest after running around the tabernacle with Sis. Cozy's "bull horn".

"Them was good!" -- Broxton Kennedy bragging on a family of singers that came one night to church service.

"Let me go back to bed." -- Clint Gleitz and Brian Benningfield begging to go back to bed after I made them clean the shower house for ATTEMPTING to sneak out. ;-)

"Now we're talkin'!" -- Dana (Price) Young after she sees the butter pecan ice cream.

"Tie ballgame!" -- Tyler Dixon in exclamation once the youth tied the preachers in a fun game of Bible quizzing.

"We've had ups and downs this week, but more ups than downs." -- Rev. Eudell Stilts during morning devotion.

"You're going down!" -- Sis. Holly (Sprowles) Howell basically telling me that her team was going to beat mine. Side note -- we won.
