Heard Around Camp

It is amazing what you can hear around camp if you just take the time to slow down and listen. So, that's what I decided to do this year. I'm not talking about snooping around "digging for dirt"...just listening and taking it all in. I hope you enjoy this section. Also, if you have anything to contribute to this section, feel free to send me the things that you heard around camp, too.

"I feel like someone in the movie Dodge Ball." -- Andrew S. while putting on his head band.

"If I had to go another week, I may just die." -- Rev. Eudell Stilts.

"Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday." -- Sis. Shannon Kennedy on Thursday evening.

"I didn't want to take the eggs down to the ballfield because I thought that it may be so hot that they would hatch." -- Rev. Eudell Stilts.

"Think anyone would mind if a pro volleyball player played out there?" -- Bro. Noah Vance speaking of himself while watching our volleyball game.

"Who's got the lazer?!" -- Rev. Melvin Underwood trying to find out which boys' dorm had the lazer pointer.

"This is where I shine." -- Tyler Dixon bragging on himself during the last 20 seconds of a pillow fight.

"Bitey!" -- Titus H. everytime he ate.

"Happy Birthday to me!" -- Broxton Kennedy on his birthday.

"I'm going to kill the Devil." -- Hampton Kennedy after singing Little White Box.

"Daadaa!" -- Waverly Kennedy.

"Cozy's windows are down in her Explorer!" -- Boys dorm 1 after returning from TPing her vehicle during Thursday night's down pour.

"My boys are loading up on sugar." -- Nathan Wright on the first night of youth camp before they're suppose to go to bed.

"Not really." -- Michael B.'s response to Sis. Cozy when she asked if he was surprised that he received Mr. Youth Camp.

"I'm coming back as biscuit lady, but I can't cook." -- Jennifer Whitman telling us her plans for future youth camps as a worker.

"One more breakfast and cleanup and then I'm out of here." -- Rev. Robert Gosser on Thursday night.
